The competitions got underway with victory for Sweden’s Victoria Tegenfeldt in the Women’s 1500m (4:16.99). The first attempt of Estonia’s Gerd Kanter in the SDL Discus Throw competition was 65.14m long and good enough for the lead. Virgilijus Alekna (LIT) failed in his first attempt.
