Bislett Stadium 1950 – 1959

At the 6.th Olympic Winter Games in Oslo 1952, Bislett was the center point of the Games. Opening- and Closing Ceremony, Speedskating and Figure skating was held at the stadium.

Eight new World Records in Athletics, three of those of Norwegians. Sverre Strandli twice in Hammer throw 61,25 (1952) and 62,36 (1953). Audun Boysen improved the 1000 m record by eight ten of a second with 2.20,4.
