Bislett Stadium 1940 – 1949

The official sports federation in Norway suspended all sports events during the five years of nazi occupation. The years 1946 to 1949 became vibrantly at the stadium. European Championship in Athletics and in Boxing was held at Bislett. World Championship in Speedskating. Three World Records in Athletics: 1000 m relays, USA 1.52,8, Shot Put, Jim Fuchs 17,79 m and 440 yards Hurdles, Richard Ault (USA) 52,2 sec.
