Strong girls in the ring
Led by last year's world champion Chase Ealey from the USA, it is building up to a very strong shot put competition at the Wanda Diamond League meeting at Bislett on June 15, where five of the six bests in the world ranking are on the start list.

The best in the World will jump in the pit
With five of the top six in the World Rankings in place, the men's long jump competition at the Wanda Diamond League meet at Bislett will be another event of quality on par with a global championship final. In addition, the start list includes Norway’s three best jumpers, who have a duel in the duel to be the best domestic jumper. And maybe they can challenge some of the world tops.

Merited field in women’s triple jump
Last year's European champion Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk from Ukraine, and the silver and bronze medallist from last summer's World Championships, Shanieka Ricketts from Jamaica and Tori Franklin from the USA, are the top names in the women's triple jump competition during this year's Wanda Diamond League meeting at Bislett.

Duplantis, the Norwegians and the rest of the world elite
If we are to summarize the pole vault winter of 2023, we are left with two big names. Swedish Armand Duplantis, who improved the world record to 6.22, and our own Sondre Guttormsen, who secured the European Championships gold indoors and became the latest addition to the exclusive list of jumpers who have cleared the magical six metres. These two are at the head of an exquisite start list for pole vault at the Wanda Diamond League meet at Bislett on 15 June where, at the time of writing, nine of the top ten in the world ranking are present.

From Bislett to Budapest
The men's hammer throw-competition during this year's Oslo Bislett Games will hopefully be a foretaste of the biggest event for the Hungarian home crowd when we get to this summer's World Championships in Budapest. Although it is not a Wanda Diamond League event at this year's meeting, the starting field oozes world class and which can almost be considered a dress rehearsal for the World Championships.

The world's six best discus throwers ready for Bislett Games
It's a bit unbelievable, but the start list for the women's discus competition at the Wanda Diamond League meeting at Bislett on 15 June contains all the top six in the World Ranking. Can it get any better?

van Niekerk confirmed for Oslo Bislett Games
He set a world record with 43.03 and won one Olympic and two World Championships gold medals before suffering a serious knee injury. But after a blistering 44.17 in the South African championships last weekend, he is back, and what is more appropriate than to welcome Wayde van Niekerk to his first Bislett start.

The women's turn to run the Bislett classic
It is 1,609 meters long and one of the most legendary events in the history of Bislett Games. Arne Haukvik, who was the first meeting director, launched it as the "Dream Mile". And the performers delivered. In turn, the Britons Sebastian Coe, Steve Ovett and Steve Cram each set their own world record over the distance - often in the iconic smell from Frydenlund brewery. This year it's the women's turn to have a go. For the first time since 2016.

The Oslo Bislett Games transforms from “Oil Games” to “Eco-Lighthouse Games”
